Typically one of the largest in New Mexico, the Bean Day Parade begins at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, September 2nd. The parade participants line up starting at 8:30 am, in front of the Wagon Mound Public School on Park Avenue (Highway 120) and then it heads toward main street (Railroad Avenue).

This parade is unique in that it goes up Railroad Avenue then turns around and comes back down so both sides can be viewed. During an election year, the parade draws politicians from all over the state. Many of the local residents and rodeo entrants ride their horses in the parade!
