Now that we have you convinced that you must attend Bean Day, Now What? Wagon Mound is a small village of a population around 300. We don’t have any hotels but camping options are available. During the weekend, our Rodeo Grounds is available as a camping ground. Bring your tent, truck, RV, camper etc and set up for the weekend along many others. Just note, there aren’t any water, electric or sewage hookups available.
If camping isn’t your speed, hotel options are available a short drive away in Springer NM or Las Vegas, NM. KOA campgrounds are available in Las Vegas.
Food and drink concession is available at the Rodeo Grounds and there are food and drink vendors available in the town all weekend long.
We hold many different events through the weekend, so you want to bring different types of clothing. Be prepared for hot sunny days, but with the possibility of rain. Have casual wear for the day, and bring your boots and hat for our nightly dances! Sunscreen, bug spray, cap, umbrella, camping chair and cash are necessities!
